Work besties forever (WBF). That’s who we are.

REVIVE Founders, Kristine and April and the Revive Office Space

We met while working in community mental health, forged our bond over drawn-out lunches at the local Italian deli, afternoon coffee breaks, and spontaneous office visits to talk about “work.” We decided to make the leap into private practice together in January of 2020, signed the lease for our office on Valentine’s Day (cue heart eyes), and opened the doors to our clients in the middle of March. Literally one week before the pandemic shut everything down and sent us all into the confinement of our homes (cue panic).

But we rallied. Because that’s what we do. In just six short months, we brought on additional therapists to meet the demand of our community and moved into the space we’re in now:

311 S. Eddy Street.

As we settled into our new space, we decided to create what we affectionately call the “Zen Den,” a very vibey room in the basement where our wellness practitioners work their magic (otherwise known as reiki and breathwork therapy).

We started this business with our own individual offices and dreams of what we wanted this practice to be. We pinch ourselves that those dreams turned into a collective full of talented, skilled, compassionate, and totally cool therapists and wellness practitioners.

We started Revive because we wanted to create a safe, welcoming, inclusive place of healing.

We included “wellness” in our name because we envisioned a space where people’s needs would be addressed on a holistic level – mind, body, and spirit. Where therapists would have the freedom to bring their own creative touch and personality to their work. And where therapy would expand beyond the therapy room to the massage table and yoga mat.

We believe in the power of sitting with someone and having your experiences lovingly held and witnessed and we also believe in the power of bilateral processing, embodiment, and intuitive-based practices (among many more, of course).

Patience, diligence, and consistent effort.

The pandemic may have slowed down our plans for creating a thriving in-person community but we never let go of the dream that got us started. It’s a good lesson, don’t you think? Most things of value in life require patience, diligence, and consistent effort. Like achieving your goals. Like building the life you long for.

Like healing.

We entered this field because we’re passionate about helping people heal but we certainly have our own backgrounds, experiences, and areas of expertise. Read more about each of us below.
