I primarily work with couples in the areas of communication, boundary clarification, value alignment and emotional intimacy.
I am trained in emotionally-focused therapy (EFT) for couples and am currently pursuing a year-long advanced training that will lead toad certification in this modality. This approach is rooted in attachment theory and is designed to help clients improve communication, restore connection, and enhance overall relationship satisfaction.
Using EFT we will work together to identify and interrupt ineffective communication patterns. Then, I’ll assist you and your partner in communicating core needs to restore emotional connection. I also work with couples on the brink of divorce, facilitating communication on the future of their relationship.
I see individuals with relational difficulties, especially related to low self-worth, people pleasing, or perfectionism.
I use narrative therapy techniques to debunk the societal messages that keep them from living the life they’d like to live. Topics that often come up in my work with clients include: societal and family messages, personal values, and identifying steps towards future goals.
I have lived experience with neurodiversity, and enjoy helping clients address relational issues related to ADHD and autism. My approach is neurodivergent-affirming, rather than behavioral-based. I strive to be LGBTQIA+ affirming and a BIPOC ally.
